Bestselling author Trigiani to discuss new book in Lewes | Arts & Entertainment

The Lewes Public Library, AAUW of Delaware and Browseabout Books will host author Adriana Trigiani for a book discussion, Q&A and signing on Monday, July 21, at 5 p.m. at the Lewes Elementary School Theatre, 820 Savannah Road in Lewes.

Trigiani will discuss her new novel, “The View from Lake Como,” described as “a hilarious, big-hearted story of a big-hearted Italian American family and their overlooked daughter, Jess. Divorced and living in her parents’ basement in New Jersey, Jess heads off on an adventure to her family’s ancestral home in Italy. Just as she begins to stand on her own two feet and find happiness, hidden secrets of her family’s past come to light and threaten to upend the new life she is living on her own terms.”

The ticket price is $34, which covers the cost of one autographed book included with each registration. From that registration fee, $5 will be donated to the Lewes Public Library. For registration instructions, visit the library’s website at lewes.lib.de.us or call (302) 645-2733.

Trigiani will be in conversation with Rehoboth Beach writer and University of Delaware instructor Ethan Joella, author of “A Little Hope,” “A Quiet Life” and “The Same Bright Stars.” Their 40-minute conversation will be followed by a 20-minute audience Q&A, book personalization and photo opportunity. Additional copies of “The View from Lake Como,” as well as Trigiani’s other titles and Joella’s novels, will be available for purchase at the event.

Trigiani is the New York Times bestselling author of more than 20 fiction and nonfiction books, including “The Shoemaker’s Wife.” She is an award-winning playwright, television writer/producer and filmmaker, and serves on the New York State Council on the Arts.
