Author of more than 30 books and known for her blend of Southern charm, mystery and a touch of the supernatural, White’s novels have been praised by both readers and critics. Kirkus Reviews describes “The Lady on Esplanade” as “ghostly lore combined with multiple mysteries and complex love affairs to produce a tale that’s hard to put down.” Library Journal notes, “White once again weaves the historic atmosphere and architecture of New Orleans with the paranormal. Anyone who appreciates a good mystery set in a sultry city will enjoy.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Karen White back to the museum,” said Annie Rivers, executive director of Sumter Museum. “Her stories capture the heart and imagination of her readers, and this event offers a wonderful opportunity to engage directly with her and her work.”
