Panel discussion and Q&A to be held with four local authors at RSF Library – San Diego Union-Tribune

The Rancho Santa Fe Library will host four local authors for a panel discussion and Q&A on Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. This event is open to all. Refreshments will be served and books will be available for purchase. No reservation is necessary, just come to the library for a thought-provoking discussion about diverse and interesting books.

Muffy Walker is a psychiatric nurse and caregiver who draws from personal experiences in her debut novel Memory Weavers. This poignant book explores the intricate threads of memory, trauma, and friendship through the lives of two women navigating their most vulnerable moments.

Laura Akers writes a mystery-action series, including Dior or Die and Posh and Perilous. She was a prosecutor who handled violent crimes and trained with a CIA operative in self-defense. The protagonist of her novels refuses to quit no matter the odds.

Megan Growth is an architect, urbanist, author and educator. Her book, Places We Love: San Diego Tijuana, is a bilingual photo guidebook of publicly accessible places across our region. It features photography and essays by local writers, designers, and photographers.

Sarah Z. Sleeper is an award-winning novelist, poet, essayist and former journalist. Her debut novel, Gaijin, was based on her four years living and working in Japan. It’s a coming-of-age story and cultural snapshot. Her next novel, Walloon Lake, comes out in 2026.
