Registration is open for the Chippewa Valley Book Festival
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -Registration is now open for the Chippewa Valley Book Festival, a celebration of books featuring author readings, conversations, and workshops.
Beginning on Tuesday, Oct. 21 and running through Thursday, Oct. 25 community members of all ages can choose from over 10 author events. Authors of all types ranging from a cookbook author to a fiction writer will host the sessions.
All events, except for a couple that offer tastings, are free to attend with both in-person and virtual attendance options available. According to the Chippewa Valley Book Festival website, the L.E. Philips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire will host most of the events. Two events are located offsite. One is a special meal event at The Good Wives, a restaurant in Eau Claire. Another is the end of festival celebration hosted by Leona’s Pizzeria.
Pam Gardow, the co-chair of the authors and events committee for the Chippewa Valley Book Festival, said reading the books the authors will be discussing before the event is not required. She said the event is about finding inspiration and connecting with fellow readers and writers.
“If you like to read these will be your people,” Gardow said. “You also get to ask questions of the authors, so at the end of the event there’s a Q&A period you you can interact with the author.”
Registration is required to attend the events. To learn more about the different author events, the authors being featured, and to register click here.
