FSU Opening Night brings well known authors James Patterson and Patrick Leddin to campus
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Florida State University hosted another session of Opening Night featuring two well-known writers on Sunday.
Nearly 400 people sat up close and personal with famous author James Patterson and Patrick Leddin to hear more about their new book and their journey as successful authors. Attendees engaged in a Q&A and left with a free copy of their latest book.
Kevin Maynard, executive director of Opening Night, said the event was a great experience for the community, and they hope it inspires their students to pursue their dreams.
“These students get to see sort of what they want their future careers to be,” Maynard said. “It shows some excitement to that show like this is possible you can do it you can make it there one day.”
Maynard says FSU has a total of 27 Opening Nights, the next is October 3, featuring award-winning actor Morgan Freeman.
