Author plans event for dog-themed novel Nov. 1 in Winter Haven
Author Marco Magiolo will hold a book signing for his novel “The Scent of Home” on Nov. 1 at Orchid Springs Animal Hospital, 615 Overlook Drive, in Winter Haven. The event will run from noon to 3 p.m.
“The Scent of Home” tells the emotional story of a resilient stray dog navigating the challenges of the streets, the longing for love and the hope of finding a true family, according to a news release. Told from the unique perspective of a dog, the novel explores themes of loyalty, survival and the healing bond between humans and animals.
Guests attending the event will have the opportunity to meet the author, purchase signed copies of the book, participate in a Q&A session and enjoy photo opportunities, the release said.
The event is free and open to the public. Copies of “The Scent of Home” will be available for purchase, but attendees are also welcome to bring their own copies to be signed.
“This book is a tribute to the unbreakable bond between people and their dogs.” Magiolo said in the release. “I can’t wait to share it with readers in my community, especially in such a meaningful venue as Orchid Springs Animal Hospital.”
