NEWPORT, RI (June 17, 2025) Newport, RI’s Charter Books presents NYT bestselling author and romance novelist Sarah MacLean with a special cocktail event to discuss her much anticipated newly released book, These Summer Storms, a perfect novel for summer readers who want family drama and romance in a beautiful setting. This event will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, at Ocean Cliff from 4-6:00 pm. Sarah will be in conversation with Kylie McCollough, founder and creative force behind the Newport Ladies Book Club, a dynamic literary community in Newport, Rhode Island.
These Summer Storms is a wildly sexy novel about a wealthy New England family based on a magnificent private island off the coast of Rhode Island and the challenges they face after the death of their father who leaves them a final challenge—an inheritance game designed to upend their world.
With the public release of the book on July 8th for These Summer Storms, fans of Sarah MacLean’s work will get an opportunity to listen to a discussion with Sarah and Kylie about the newly released book followed by a Q&A and book signing.
