Tallahassee native, author discusses new book and upcoming Word of South Festival

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Tallahassee’s Word of South Festival is a literature and music festival that blends authors and musicians to explore the intersection of storytelling and songwriting. It features diverse authors, poets and musicians.

One of the featured authors at this year’s Word of South is R.L. Akers, a Tallahassee native and the author of more than twenty published volumes of fiction spanning multiple genres, including fantasy, science fiction, murder mystery and young adult.

He joined our Ava Van Valen at Eyewitness News at 4 to discuss the festival and his new book.
